{Love Everlasting Project} Emily + Corey

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Studio A Images next spring, I’m spending this year reconnecting with past wedding clients. It is a great opportunity to find out where life has taken them since their wedding day. A thank you to everyone who helped me reach this amazing milestone!

Wedding Date: April 5, 2014

Favorite memory from your 1^st year of marriage:

Corey: Emily took me to Boston for a Red Sox game. We sat in the front row in the Green Monster, walked around on the field, watched batting practice, and went inside the Green Monster. It was amazing, and I’ll never be able to give her a gift as amazing as that was.

Emily: As cliche as it is, our honeymoon. Having almost two weeks to travel around Europe and do nothing but enjoy our time together was amazing. Having no responsibilities and no one else to think about besides each other was such a great escape from reality. It was pretty perfect.

Favorite memory of your most recent year of marriage:

Corey: Not so much a single memory, but being a dad has been the most fulfilling experience. The first time we were able to make Samantha giggle uncontrollably is a sound I’ll never forget.

Emily: My favorite memories are definitely watching Corey be such an amazing dad. Things like taking Samantha to her first Red Sox game and her first Devils game – they both smile ear to ear and it is amazing. And the more mundane day-to-day things are just as special like the look on her face when he gets home from work.

Have you learned anything new or surprising about your partner since you’ve gotten married?

Emily: I wouldn’t say “learned” but I was reminded that no matter what, Corey has my back and is always on my side. It is nice to know that no matter what, we are a team.

Piece of advice you’d give other people getting married:

Corey: Be damn sure you’re ready and you’re with the right person. It makes everything so much easier.
