Day in the Life sessions are my favorite family sessions. They involve me spending a few hours with your family, documenting your family without a lot of direction. For the M-J family, I had done a Day in the Life session a few years ago with their oldest daughter. They now have a second daughter and this is likely their last winter in this home as they’re planning on moving to their “forever home” later this year. While they mostly wanted documentary-style, they also wanted a few portraits mixed in as well and I was happy to oblige. I was there to capture their late afternoon through bedtime routine. I was able to see an obstacle course they created, singing along to Disney songs, and their weekly Friday night pizza making – to name a few. Capturing these small everyday moments are moments I know they’ll cherish.
