When Sarah told me she wanted to do a sunrise session for her engagement photos along the water in Nyack– both for the light and to avoid crowds – I was psyched to do it. Plus sunrise in the winter is a lot later than sunrise in the summer months 🙂 As Sarah + Mike’s engagement session date approached, so did a rainstorm begin to appear on the weather forecast. We made the decision to push their sunrise engagement session to the next day and I am so glad we did. The morning of their original day was gray and overcast. The morning of their shoot had the most beautiful clouds and colors – a perfect sunrise that every photographer dreams of for their couples. I also got to see their silly sides and sweet sides as we took photos in the predawn hour. I know their wedding this fall will be a lot of fun!
