While visiting NYC from Minnesota, Sheila thought she and Lu were just going to take a walk through Central Park. Little did she know that Lu had arranged for me to be waiting for them there (hiding in plain sight, I might add!) so that I could capture Lu proposing to Sheila at Strawberry Fields. The two planned to marry this August in Minnesota, now that same sex marriage is legal in their state, but Lu felt one of them should officially propose. Sheila was completely surprised by the gesture. After the surprise proposal, the three of us walked through Central Park to take a few more photos to celebrate the day.
