brides on their wedding day in Brooklyn. LGBTQ wedding

These beautiful brides were married at the end of September in Brooklyn. They asked that their names not be shared but did give permission for their photos and story to be shared.

Wearing Nigerian inspired outfits as a nod to one of the bride’s family’s heritage, they were stunning in their red, blue and yellow outfits. The colors were carried over to the décor at The Brooklyn Bank for their brunch celebration after the ceremony and in the attire of their guests too. Before the wedding we took photos at Hotel Indigo in Williamsburg as well as in Park Slope near where their ceremony took place. The couple met at a bookclub and to incorporate their love of books, they had paper flower bouquets. The couple danced during their portraits AND they danced down the aisle at the start and end of their wedding ceremony after jumping the broom. It was such a fun and joyful day and I was honored to be a part of it.

Your story is worth remembering.

Whether it’s big and bold or quiet and personal, I’m here to document it with honesty, care, and creativity.
